I bought this "short" cable to clean my truck's center console. I use an old iPod as the music source in my truck and have been using the original Apple USB to Lightning cable for two years. It's a 3-foot cable that wraps completely around the iPod, and one afternoon as I was rummaging through my center console, I figured it would be nice to have a shorter cable to reduce that clutter that I'm having have. I bought this cable in the hope of life " bending the ends by hand (so as not to damage my truck's USB port or the Lightning connector on my iPod), but that didn't happen. These can be great cables for those who don't care they'll be as hard as a board. For me they go in the parts box as backups but they cannot be used for their intended purpose making this a 2 star purchase for value for money.
