Really hot! for cutlery and knife accessories
For sharpening straight-edged knives, it couldn't be better. I took some of our cheapest knives and quickly gave them a new look. We were ready to throw some away, but we escaped. It was good on thin serrated knives but not so good on wavy blades. All in all we can highly recommend this sharpener.
