Budget portrait lens

For those on a tight budget who need to assemble a range of affordable primes. This is a great option as it costs less than $100. It's incredibly fast for the money and has some great benefits. Unfortunately, my experience has shown what results from this: cheap and inconspicuous optics with softness, chromatic aberrations and sometimes strange color rendering. The glass isn't the cleanest and you get what you pay for. If you're a pro, stay away. If you're just starting out, this lens can be a great entry-level portrait lens.
