I bought these discs for fine sanding MDF in preparation for painting. First, these discs give my MDF a glossy finish before painting, allowing for a nice finish so I'm happy to be able to get the results I want. The only complaint I have is that the liner wears out before the disc does. I may be sanding a part when suddenly the disc on my random orbital sander comes loose. All I can say is you get what you pay for, but I'm not even sure if that's true as this is the first set of buffing wheels I've bought. Maybe they all have bad support but I wanted to share my personal experience with this product.
