This is a small lifesaver for me. .
For me this is a life saver. I had to sand the (concave) inside of the bowls and I don't have a 2" random orbit sander. I've been content with my Proxxon angle grinder, which only spins, but the hard edge of the sanding pad always leaves a mark. By placing this foam pad between the sanding disc and Using backing and working carefully I can avoid marks Take a couple packs with you if you do a lot of sanding as they will tear after little use.
