The Gladly Family Merritt Portable Play Yard is a strong and reliable playpen, carrycot and changing table. The device is easy to assemble/disassemble and everything is neatly packed in a lightweight case that can be carried as a suitcase with handle or as a backpack. Having built another playground earlier, I found the assembly very intuitive. To assemble the main body of the playpen, simply pull the four posts outward and push the center section down. From here you can lay down the mattress topper to create a high walled playpen suitable for children who can sit or stand alone. To convert it to a bassinet, attach the bassinet tops to the edge of the play area d, fold the fabric to cover the edges, then place the mattress in the bassinet top t. The changing table was the most difficult for me to snap into place and would require very gentle handling for it to latch securely. If you're planning on taking it on a trip, remember that this playground is just as portable as a full-size double stroller, and likely heavier. However, I think it's worth the weight trade-off as it's so durable that I don't have to worry about my baby getting hurt while in it. The only thing I don't really like about this device is the choice of color for the edges and the mattress. Although white is a wonderfully trendy color, it will eventually get dirty and discolored, especially if your child has a shiny belly. The material is very breathable, but not as easy to care for as a smooth material with a slightly plastic coating. I highly recommend getting a playground mattress topper or at least putting a flat sheet over the mattress to keep the nice white mattress from getting dirty. All in all, this is a great option if you're looking for a very well-made playground. It's easy to install, easy to take apart, and feels very sturdy, keeping your little one comfortable and safe.
