I live in Southern California, but this jacket is great for the 30 degree weather on the east coast. It's warm, light and roomy enough without being bulky or water resistant. My only complaint is that the fur around the hood got tangled after drying. So be sure to dry it. It's actually just as good as the fur was long enough to catch my eye constantly when I put the hood on and the tangled fur didn't look bad at all. It just doesn't look as luxe as it did back when it was more like fur/hair.
