Very durable. I have used various types of this product to build a filter/water source outside of a fountain I made. Drill a hole in the 5 gallon bucket and place one of these as a drain hole in the 5 gallon bucket. Unfortunately, I drilled the drain hole too close to the edge of the tub. Install one of them and tighten it, and there will be no leakage even with poor selection of drain hole position. It won't break. The threads are smooth and strong enough to be tightened without damaging the material. I would buy them again if needed.
