Review on Alex Evenings Jacket Dress - Women's Clothing for Dresses by Keisha Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Concluding my previous review!

Sorry for the extra post. In case my Refocus post didn't go through for some reason (I accidentally hit the submit button before I was done), here's a brief description of me: 5'10″ muscular build – not too strong, but I do not have it coils. I wear size 38D in VS and XL target bras and a Nike sports bra. My pant size is 16 or 33, sometimes 14 or 32 with an inseam of 33-34. I ordered a size up, 18, based on previous reviews, and it fit perfectly. I said earlier that the package I received - in just TWO DAYS! - was quite heavy and I felt this was because the dress was very well made. The lace is nice and soft, although if you're sensitive to lace itch - you might not like this dress. I tolerate it well but can easily see how the jacket (where most of the lace gets into the skin) can cause irritation. The lace jumpsuit, on the other hand, is quite soft and dainty, with a long, vertical lace. Fabrics interspersed with soft sheer fabric. With the lace pattern placed vertically, I find it gives the dress a slimmer look. I love how thick the lining is. The fabric is nice and not cheap at all. More like heavy polyester/viscose, not huggable but still gives me a feminine figure. It has a little stretch which makes it easy to move but I have no doubt the dress will not lose its shape. I'm not fluffy and fluffy, but I'm not too hard either, so I didn't want the dress to draw too much attention to the unflattering parts of my curves; I just wanted something to solve the fact that I have curves. That's the only thing I appreciate about this dress. It has enough of both, and it even sits on my figure exactly like it does on the model; hangs pretty nice and very smooth at the bottom. The jacket feels comfortable and is fully laced. I wish it had a nicer seam at the hem of the sleeve - I'm very picky about well tailored clothes - but it still tapers nicely on my forearm and fits well. Info finds that the shoulders of the jacket are slightly wider. My shoulders are not too broad, but definitely not narrow. I have a feeling the dress should sag a bit. The dress has a zipper that goes to the back of the tail. It's mostly unnoticeable, but looking at my profile from the side I can feel the bottom of the zipper protruding a bit from the fabric, which adds a little accent. Like I said. I'm pretty picky but figured it was bearable because everything else seemed right. I tried a short crystal choker, but due to the size of my chest and the fact that the collar of the dress almost reaches my neck, I think I'll look for a long, dangling champagne colored crystal choker to complement the accessory to complement without distracting . Busy sequins are already in the dress. Let's get back to the jacket. It falls just below the bust to create a slim waist and the bottom of the mermaid dress touches my toes - closer to my ankle than my toes even when I'm wearing a perfect pair of silver pump sandals - about 2 1/2 inches. - which I have had for some time. I'm a professional pianist so I'll wear this dress. It's conservative but sexy and it doesn't wrap around my shoulders when I'm playing! Bonus! I'm 40 years old and I love fashion. I think for my size this dress does the job perfectly and gives a modern yet traditional look for a more elegant event. It's a way to shine for everything else.
