This "leather" placemat is awful! First, it's not leather. Very close. It's like thin neoprene and doesn't even look like leather. Second, he doesn't sit up straight. It comes rolled up in the box, which is fine, but when you put it on a table it curls up, leaving gaps between the surface and the lining. I put books on it at night but as soon as I put them away it reappeared. Third, it was damaged (see photo). It must have been packed so tightly in the box it came in that it was leaning against the box's flap lid, causing the seal to deform. Again I put some weight on it overnight but when it was removed it still didn't straighten up. This is not a good placemat and NOT worth the money AT ALL! Look elsewhere for a decent placemat.
