FYI I have a fully stocked shop and have been making furniture for over 50 years. This hose is best suited for light duty. At first it is not clear - the plastic is dark gray smoky; secondly, the thickness of the plastic wall cannot be compared with average hoses; and the hardness of the plastic is soft and elastic, not durable. Revane requested a rating for "Durability" and "Cutting Strength." Can't rate durability without having it in store for over a week; and the hoses have no suction (that would be a vacuum) - this hose, like most dust collection hoses, has a steel helix that spirals in the hose wall to ensure rigidity. This uneven interior of the hose increases static pressure and decreases airflow to some extent. Conclusion: OK, but I find it satisfying. If you are a hobbyist for whom a light hose will do, go for it.
