Connecting a Breville Espresso Maker to a Water Tank

I got tired of refilling our Breville espresso maker so I bought a new water tank (about $25) and removed the water filter assembly as I use an in-line filter for water . for plumbing. I drilled a 5/8" hole in the top to make sure the float valve had play all the way around. Installed a float valve and used a 1/4" plastic water pipe with a shut off valve. It runs under the sink to the built-in water filter, which is separate from the icemaker line to the refrigerator. While it works great. The float valve is plastic and I'm concerned about its durability, but so far it's working great! It was a fun and easy project that will make life a little bit easier.
