You must clean and dry the area you are going to use. Peel and dry about 1 inch around the tattoo. Hair removal is also important. I had a tattoo on my arm where I used this. I expected it to be constantly removed when washing hands and changing clothes. It stayed pretty good, listing took place at the folds of the fingers. Overall I have to say I was happy to find this for my tattoos. A tight seal when done right!
