Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Optimized ZYLISS Kitchen Scissors by Amy Kearse

Great little performer

Love these kitchen scissors. I've had them for two months now and use them several times a day. They're a good size and weight, cut well and are more than just the usual old pair of scissors I keep in the kitchen (which is what I've used). They can handle anything regular scissors can, but have additional features that make them very handy in the kitchen. And it works for both right-handed and left-handed people. The scissors disassemble and reassemble for easy cleaning, but not so easy that they always fall apart. It's spring-loaded so it opens right after cutting and you don't have to work both ways. The auxiliary spring is neither too tight nor too weak. I like the little lock on the handle: it keeps the blades closed and can be unlocked instantly with one hand as soon as I pick up the scissors. I don't use mine for meat so I can't weigh it. They are very suitable for herbs, salads and vegetables that you want to chop directly in the pan. At the base of the blades is a notch for small twigs (or bones for meat eaters). One of the blades has a serrated edge if needed, and there's a nifty little box opener at the bottom of the rounded handle. The gray parts of the handle have a soft rubber texture that is easy to grip even with wet hands. In the end it has everything I was looking for, except maybe a herb stripper. Also, Zyliss has great customer service so I don't have to worry about fixing issues if something happens during the three year warranty period. Definitely recommend.
