This house WORKS! I have an 80 lb Vizsla that barks like crazy. If this thing is turned on, even one bark, he'll stop immediately and come running. I even put him outside and he can catch other dogs in the neighborhood. It is primarily within us. It has a VERY bright light that flashes every few seconds. I had to mask mine because it lit up the living room at night. Once I fixed it, it works very well. Can't comment on weather resistance as we keep them indoors. You can tell it's working because it makes a small noise when the dog barks. I can't explain it, but I can barely hear. But whatever it is, it works fine for my dog.
