I bought this lens for my Canon M6 camera and yes as a warning this and other are Meke, 7artisans and other lenses FULLY MANUAL, so you'll need to go to your camera's CUSTOM FUNCTIONS and enable the LENS-LESS SHUTTER option to take pictures with this or any other Canon M-series or frankly any brand of mirrorless camera except maybe Olympus. And you do NOT get EXIF data about aperture or focal length for your photos, you get shutter speed and ISO data. So if you want to organize your photos this way in say Lightroom or similar, plan ahead. BTW this lens is a great addition to a kit lens, or even if you already have the excellent Canon 22MM f2.0 STM prime lens and other M-series lenses, because I think this is a great lens for everyday is photography, including street or landscape photography, as well as general photos of family and friends. The lenses from the Meke series (sometimes sold under the Opteka brand) that I still own to this day, this lens and the Opteka 35mm f1.7 lenses are very sharp for their price range and I would even dare to say that they it's sharpness rivals well-known lenses. Canon 22mm (as for Canon M Prime lenses), haven't tried the new Canon 32MM f1.4, it looks great and costs $$, but the colors of the MEKE lenses seem a bit more subdued than the Canon Primes (tested with the same photos ), but I don't think that's a bad thing. Canon prime lenses are known for their "color science" but it's also like driving a muscle car 5 blocks from the grocery store, there's plenty of power but more than you sometimes need for normal photography. I like the fact that Meke lenses look more "like a cellphone" in a good way. This means that most photos you would take in JPG format (I know the photographer is SIN because he didn't shoot in RAW) are acceptable for posting on social media with very little IMO color editing. All in all these lenses are very good value and you can buy all three manual MEKE lenses (25mm, 28mm and 35mm) and still spend less than the new Canon 32mm (I love Canon glass btw!): Application : For amateurs / amateur photography Street photography Landscape Casual (non-professional) portraits Static scenes (car showrooms, nature, outdoor concerts with good lighting) Static night scenes Party or wedding hall) Professional use (for demanding high-resolution photos)
