Packaging and smell will appeal to those who prefer feminine things. The product feels smooth but coats the hair and dries to a heavy film that might strengthen it but not for soft, bouncy curls. also gives you more control depending on how much liquid you mix with it. This molding material hardens as it dries. I prefer a creamy texture for my hair type (shoulder length, highlights, loose curls and dry). This shaping cream doesn't feel creamy to me. Not a fan.
