I have 12 cats. Don't even ask me how I got so many. You are not ALL my fault. I love them though and work as a dishwasher to keep my house clean and the cat kennel odor free. I was looking for a shovel with narrower teeth. Stray grains are small, especially lumpy. When picking up clumps of used litter, small pieces will break off and fall into the box when you lift the clumps into a trash can, bag, or whatever you're using. THAT was what I was looking for in a dustpan - with teeth narrow enough to catch most of those really tiny bits. You see, with 12 cats, you can't just throw out all the trash when you clean out the box (I wash that box 12+ times a day). I have to keep the litter for as long as possible because it's prohibitively expensive when you have so many small pets. This shovel won't catch them. On the plus side, however, this plastic scoop is sturdy, reaching the bottom of the box with ease and picking up everything in its path (except for those tiny bits). I love it so I'm just trying to re-educate myself so I'm not so obsessed with sub-microscopic particles. You might like it too, it's really good.
