I have several of these lights for night running but they are also good for walking the dog or other outdoor nighttime activities. They are visible to cars from afar and can be seen from the side, although not as clearly. I use an alternating light pattern so the machines see the movement of the light and therefore me! Even gently pressing the button won't turn it off accidentally. I feel much more secure with them attached to my clothing.
