Our kids love to cook and bake so we thought it was time they got their own set of cutting boards. With 4 different boards and a board scraper, each child can work on something at the same time. The material is bamboo wood. The fact that they are thinner makes the panels easier to handle and store. For the price it is excellent value for money. 1 board usually costs more than this set of 4. Surprisingly, the quality is still top-notch. I don't know how they do it, but I'm very grateful. The large board has grooves to catch liquid juicy substances that flow so they don't end up on my counter. Boards are thoroughly cleaned. They dry fairly quickly, which tells me they don't absorb a lot of moisture, which is a good thing. Although we bought them for our kids they make a great gift.
