Review on Enhanced SEO: 12-Volt Dash Socket Plug by Blue Sea Systems (Model 1015-BSS) by Craig Waters

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The plug looks good but is disconnected.

Arrived today and seems really well made. I took the connector apart and it seems easy to connect. Since I only have a cigarette lighter, I'm not sure if that would be an issue. UPDATE: I am using a plug (male) in a different 12v outlet. The slightest impact will cause the connector to trip. Actually I thought it had a built in switch, click on/off. Unfortunately it turns on the backup camera in my camper van so when I arrive the camera is off until I get in and plug it back in. This defeats the purpose of a rear camera. I resorted to gluing the two parts together. outlet to keep it plugged in. It's like there's a spring inside pushing the fork out in 20 seconds. The details are very well done which is why I bought the Blue Seas but they overdid it. A $1 fork from Radio Shack would have worked better!

Pros
  • Twist lock system - plug stays securely in socket
Cons
  • Some little things
