good enough if you don't look closely. quite dark. The beeswax they used in the candle gives off a nice honey smell up close. However, a realistic looking burned wick at the top is a bad idea. Update: The darkness could be due to them arriving with half dead batteries. beautiful. After I put new batteries in each of them, they got bright enough to be seen in a well-lit room. This allows the candle to look real when not lit, but when lit it destroys the illusion of a real candle: it's lit but the wick isn't? And how often do you look at a candle when it's not burning? This also means the top is a hard wax cork, leaving the top third of the candle dark rather than igniting the open top. Conclusion: Nice enough, at a price that's still worth it, especially for places where you don't look closely anyway.
