Not long. Good for sport
This product keeps my paddle on the boat when just floating it. I've used the leash 3 or 4 times and now it's in two pieces. All I had to do was pull a little and the cord came loose exposing the middle of the elastic. Then I went on a multi-port trip and another tug did it. So if you're using this for smooth rides then you're fine, but who really needs a leash for smooth rides?
