3 " paring knife - handle doesn't feel good

First of all, I really like the ceramic blade on this knife - it's very sharp and cuts well. Try working with this knife, the more it annoys me. First, I have long, thin fingers, and the handle isn't thick enough to fit my hand comfortably. Second, the end of the handle curves inward toward the cutting edge of the knife, rather than leaning toward the spine of the blade. When I hold the knife in the cutting position - my thumb and first two fingers around the thickest part of the handle - my pinky wraps around the edge at the end of the bend and lets my leverage misbehave when I press my thumb over it what I'm trying to cut has the bottom end pressing against my pinky and the resistance pushing the knife away from the corner of the cut.Last night I tried cheese for an appetizer tray and I couldn't get the even slices we prefer - the tension in my hand gave the blade a rocking motion in the cut. I also find that this knife will be difficult to use if you have arthritis in your fingers. This might be perfect for small hands with shorter fingers than mine.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Great price
