Review on 🖱️ Black Kensington Orbit Wireless Trackball Mouse - K72352US with Touch Scroll Ring by Sam Duppa

Just received it today and have been using it for a few hours so this is definitely a "first impression” review. I was looking for a wireless trackball that I can use left handed and this is one of very few. Despite being right-handed, I moved with my left hand for decades due to repetitive stress injuries in my right hand. I've always used the Logitech Trackman Marble Mouse for its ergonomics and the fact that it's ambidextrous, so I can switch to my right hand if I want to. But after all this time it seems fine to use the mouse with my left hand and I find that I actually prefer it even though my right hand has healed - I can mouse with one hand and other notes make same time! One downside to Logitech is that it's wired, and while it's great for my office desktop, it's a pain for travel, meetings, etc. So far, the overall feel and performance of the Kensington Orbit is so close to Logitech that I've barely notice a difference. It feels good, the buttons work well, and the trackball is smooth. Why I Didn't Give 5 Stars: Touch scrolling is a bit awkward. This might take some getting used to, but I find it erratic and not very accurate. The Kensington TrackballWorks software also caused many problems. Right after installation it was like aliens had taken over my computer. The cursor flew by itself and opened several copies of programs. So strange. So I uninstalled it and used the native Windows drivers, which work great. When you receive this it will work right out of the box. My advice: use it like this and forget about TrackballWorks software. If there are any problems in the next few weeks, I will edit this review.
