- These straps work great - they are MUCH longer than I need but it's easy to remove the buckle, cut off the excess strap and cut short with a fire clicker to seal the end to keep it from unraveling, and then tuck the cut end into the buckle where it will remain permanently attached (a good factory cut end is something you see/use regularly).
