They are about as easy to use as a dehumidifier can get and do what they say they do. If you buy something to dehumidify, you probably need a humidity level below 60%. . This is one of the main limitations. At 60% they start to work. That means the wet area stays wet, but they help keep humidity down. If you have access to electricity an electrical device will surely outperform them, but if that's all you can use they will help. Here are a few pros and cons I found: Pros: - Quick and easy to get started. - Takes up very little space. They fit almost anywhere. Relatively cheap if you don't need them for a long time. They can be used in showers where you don't need an electrical unit. Cons: Only works at 60% relative humidity or higher. The surfaces definitely stay wet. They cannot compete with electrical devices. - More expensive than electrical devices for long operation. - It can be difficult to know when they are full. There's a color indicator on the side, but you're not looking for color, you're looking for the wet environment underneath.
