Fantastic value for money

Five stars for price and lens performance. This lens is sold under several brands. I like to think that 7Artisans has better quality control, but there is no proof. Pros: price, size, close focus (18cm), center sharpness, bokeh. Disadvantages: Angular sharpness with an open aperture. Note: The lens has drawing pockets. In other words, it's not surgically perfect like today's lenses. But that also means it can give you images that modern lenses can't. Unlike vintage lenses, which tend to be larger and more expensive at this focal length, you're almost guaranteed the lens won't get scratched or go moldy. optically better than the 18-55 zoom, but the aperture gives you a lot more latitude to play with depth of field. It also looks great on my Fuji X-T20 and even fits in a small bag. The close focus makes it ideal for crystal ball photography. Interestingly, the magnification on the spiral adapter is almost the same as on my Voigtländer ultron 28/2. So if you use Leica M wide-angle lenses and a spiral adapter, you don't need to update the MFD. The focal length is great for getting around (I used to have a Pantax DA 21mm pancake so that's great). Recommendation: browse flickr and instagram and if you like the photos just get it, it's a fun lens.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Available in black only

Wrong color received, but works great anyways.
