Presentation: This knife comes in its own knife sized wooden case. Form-fitting foam keeps it in place, the tip has a plastic cap, and the entire blade is housed in a clear sheath. While this makes it a good gift, I could have used a less fancy box. It was hard to throw this thing away. I had nothing else to use it for and let's face it, the knife goes in my knife block. Who keeps a fancy box on the counter and carefully puts the knife back in the box after each use? Appearance: Beautiful. Actually, I'm not sure I like the clogged look. But the super shiny stainless steel mirror finish looks incredible. The handle looks stylish and fits well in my knife block. Function: excellent. The blade is so sharp. I cut everything. This cuts the vegetable slices as thin as I want. I've used it to cut chicken into equal pieces for roasting. It slipped through my sweet potato. I wrap my fingers around this blade very carefully. He has excellent balance. I have medium sized women's hands and it fits me perfectly. I love the feel and movement when I'm slicing, slicing or dicing.
