I just received this cutter today so it's based on first use. But it seems to cut well and cleanly, and that's the whole point. The clasp is so rigid that it has to be opened after the cut, ie it just won't open. I took off a star because you have to have big hands to use it with one hand on a #10 nail or big wire. and it's not big enough to comfortably operate with two hands. Slightly tilting the handles could have prevented this problem. I have serious complaints about the packaging. Thick plastic glued to heavy cardboard; I thought I would never get it out of this pack. This too can be dangerous; I was using a utility knife and one slip could result in a nasty cut. Three thumbs down for the package.
