Great option for those who want to immerse themselves in the world of NVR

Out of the box, the NVR is smaller than expected. There are three LEDs on the front and a USB port on the bottom left. There are very few ports on the back, although I think that's to be expected from this budget device, there's only one ethernet port. The setup isn't terrible, this was my first purchase and use of an NVR. So far I only have one camera, the REOlink module, and it works great. Factory firmware was already the latest version, I've read other reviews that people had to update, but it was nice that I didn't have to. I consider myself fairly tech savvy so it might be difficult for others if they don't get a device with the latest firmware. The user interface is fine. It seems like it's going to take a bit of work, but the main features are there: the ability to pan the timeline and upload footage is simple enough. You simply plug a USB drive into the front and use the buttons to save your selected images. I look forward to adding more cameras to the device. Also, make sure you have a hard drive to monitor; If you just pop in a regular one, you're likely to experience hard drive failure sooner rather than later. The drives are in constant use, so you need one that can handle the task. Overall, considering that this device costs less than $100, I would recommend it to anyone looking to get into the world of NVR video surveillance. It's perfect for the home or even small businesses. Just consider the additional costs (cameras, ethernet cabling, hard drive). Supplied accessories: Power cord for the device, Ethernet cable, small mouse, SATA cable for hard drive, Molex cable for hard drive, hard drive mounting screws, user manual.
