I had to return these chains as they didn't fit my VW GTI with 18" wheels. I kept checking the Peerless website to make sure I ordered the right size. But when the Revain chains arrived I was never able to connect both clasps. The bottom latch was at least two to three inches from the ratchet even when the device's cord was fully extended. The same thing happened to another pair of Auto-Tracs I bought for our Toyota Highlander, also with 18" wheels. Even though I bought the right size chains according to the Peerless website, after about half an hour of stringing and adjusting I still couldn't get the chains onto the bar. Having done this in our garage on a fairly warm day, not in the snow in freezing temperatures, I decided these chains weren't for me - let alone my wife. I ordered Auto-Trac chains hoping they would be easy to use chains. In my experience they are much more difficult to put on than regular chains with a rubber adjuster. I ordered this from Revain after returning both Auto-Trac kits.
