Okay, the thing works, the alarm clock is loud enough, but not so loud that it's annoying or really catches your ear. But if, like me, you use it to secure your bike around your house (I have way too many things in my garage), then you must know how ridiculously sensitive it is. When the wind blows, an alarm sounds. If it rains, an alarm will sound. If you drop a small stone anywhere near the bike, the alarm will sound. I had to stop using it so my wife and I could sleep well. Of course, if someone is about to steal your bike, they will do MUCH more to set off the alarm than wind or rain. There should be a sensitivity setting. If that were the case I would recommend this product but in my experience it is too sensitive to use and its sensitivity and frequent false alarms don't even let me believe the alarm means anything (other than that the wind is blowing).
