Fit and finish was terrible. I ran my hand over the baseplate as I took it out of the box and immediately picked up a piece of wood! And you think I'll sit on it?!? I do not think so! First I will sand and polyurethane. The screw that holds the base to the body isn't fixed, so you'll need an Allen wrench to tighten it from the bottom. The wing nut just twists and turns without tightening. I'm considering using epoxy. The needles are so poorly made (the eye is knocked out) that the burr in the eye actually cuts the thread. throw them away With some tweaking, this will be a useful product, but you don't need to fix a brand new item. I strongly advise against buying from any other manufacturer. 03/26/19 I have upgraded my rating from two to three stars mainly because of their customer service. They contacted me and I described the problem. They offered me a refund which I accepted. But the design is still bad. The Allen screw (with wing nut) used by you for the pivot bolt in the base cannot be used. Should be a carriage bolt or something. They also asked me to delete my review but as I always give 100% honest reviews I declined. I still recommend not buying this product until the design issue is resolved.
