I use them to protect my elbows and knees in sword fights. At first I thought they were great because you don't feel anything when you get hit. 100% protection. And they look really cool too. Beyond that, however, there are problems. First, these are the dimensions on the hands. The left arm fits perfectly, but I can't get the strap on my right arm tight enough even though my right bicep is larger than my left. Then knees. The straps feel too tight even when adjusted to the minimum. Depending on what you're wearing underneath, they may also slide down when tight. If they're on bare leather or cotton, they'll stay in place. Anything else (polyester, spandex, etc.) and they slip. Finally durability. I had them for about six weeks; may have used it for 15-20 hours of sparring during that time. I never hit any of the clips but last night I found that one of the clips was broken so I can't put it back on. I would have traded but I missed the trade window.
