Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Zojirushi SM-YAF48 Thermal Mug 0.48L - Red: Innovative Insulated Travel Companion by Boguslawa B-k แ Œ

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Im not particularly happy, but basically everything is fine.

Overall, the mug is fine, although it is 1. (6.3 thousand) 2. it could be inconvenient for a driver (described above) The comparison I've made between the Thermos SK-1005 and the Contigo Byron thermo cups (both of which have been in use simultaneously for 5 years) is the basis for my entire description. Contigo was phased out because its rubber began to degrade, but I have had nothing but positive experiences with Thermos. Zojirushi SM-YAF48 is not a product I would suggest you buy.

Pros
  • craftsmanship - unquestionably worth 5 points Easy-to-carry sippy cup with a bonus inside (keep clean) Consistency of tightness: above average lock used to prevent unauthorized access
Cons
  • (1) The inconvenient non-separable design of the lid makes servicing it more difficult than with competing models from the same manufacturer (the drinker cannot be pulled out, there are many recesses that are difficult to clean). Second, the lid has more volume than similar products on the market. Thirdly, buyers beware: a hinged cover is not a practical solution when utilized in a vehicle. The lid can be in the way when it's slanted, especially if the cup holder is near the gear knob; if it's on the dashboard (as mine is in the Multivan), opening it is a major hassle. 4. does a good job of maintaining temperature, but not quite as advertised in the reviews. It's true that the quality is above par, but it's not exceptional and doesn't warrant a price tag of more than $3,500. The price is too high (of course, this is subjective, but in my opinion, it does not reflect the product's quality and performance). When you fill a mug with boiling water, close it, and try to stir the contents, you'll see that the mug is only moderately secure. If you throw the cup with the lid down soon (before it cools down a bit), some of the contents will spill out because of the pressure that builds up under the lid. Issue-free when refrigerated. I liken this to the very impossible task of closing the shut-off valve on a THERMOS thermos mug.
