Review on Control Corrective Complexion Treatment Pads - Enhance Skin ๐ŸŒŸ Exfoliation, Detoxify Pores, Pre-Moistened Woven Pads for Smoother and Firmer Complexion by Joy Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My "insensitive " skin reacts sensitively to these pads.

These pads are made in the USA. It is always good. Unfortunately, this is the best I can say about them. My skin has never reacted so negatively to a product. In all my years of using skin products, I can't think of a single product that has irritated my skin. These pads are annoying, my face is itchy and there is a very slight burning sensation. The product must be good for the skin. It exfoliates, eliminates imperfections, deeply cleanses pores, helps improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and texture irregularities, and helps normalize discoloration patterns. It sounds good. Here, too, the ingredients are mostly good. Lactic, mandelic and salicylic acid, 5% each. There are natural extracts from flowers, roots, leaves and bark. Also witch hazel. All is well. But here's what's not great in terms of ingredients: butylene glycol (a little iffy, but considered safer and better than propylene glycol), phenoxyethanol (common in skin products but purists don't like it), and disodium EDTA. The latter is a safe product according to the FDA, but there is some information to suggest that phenoxyethanol is less safe when combined with phenoxyethanol. In any case, all of the ingredients are FDA approved and considered safe. YMMV. But here's the main reason I don't like these pads. They're not refreshing. I feel like I'm rubbing oil into my skin and they don't leave a nice clean feeling. This oil film is also absorbed for a long time. It is recommended to rub this oily residue with clean fingers after application for better absorption. Also, I don't like the overlay itself. Doesn't look like 100% cotton. It appears to have some abrasive synthetic fibers woven into it that erase the skin somewhat. And my last and biggest objection is that after application there is a slight burning sensation and annoying itching of the skin. In addition to the itching and burning sensation they leave on my skin, they are way overpriced compared to other face pads. If you're not like me and your skin likes the results of using it, you might not mind.
