UPDATE The seller returned my money but then contacted me to give the hat a second chance. A replacement cap was sent to me, I opened the battery compartment and found that the battery was now held securely in place with double sided tape. The hat performed well after charging and works as expected. I would recommend this hat if the battery issue is resolved. First Review: I was disappointed to find my new hat didn't work right out of the box. I tried charging it but it still wouldn't turn on. The indicators blinked from time to time. I opened the battery compartment and found that one of the connectors is broken where the battery connects to the circuit board. The battery must be glued to the case to avoid this problem. This is only for the rechargeable hat, it works fine on watch batteries, I got it from another seller.
