These straps are sold as a replacement for the 8mm strap. They do not fit into the groove on the original mallet shaft and therefore wear out quickly. They are often sold complete with a new whisk. Buy them that way to get the bar they're working on, or look for 8mm bands. I had to use them until 8mm straps showed up.
