I tried about 10 different indoor antennas. I live within 4 miles of most NYC broadcasts and have had trouble receiving WABC and WPIX, both of which are on VHF. This antenna works best for VHF and UHF. This antenna is as good, if not better than, most $40-$60 Clearstream or Mohu models. However, non-detachable coaxial cables are terrible and are not suitable for any digital antenna. You can buy better/stronger coaxial cables at the dollar store. Many city dwellers, like me, have serious problems with electromagnetic interference, which disrupts the signal and causes poor pixelation. The first attached photo shows the poor quality of the cable used for this antenna (after I took it apart and removed the tie). As you can see, it's very thin and virtually unshielded. Other photos show how I modified mine using some beginner soldering skills and some good quality RG6 cable. Changing the cable has made a huge difference for me and now the antenna can lock into the channels that have given me great grief and the signals are held. OK. Very good antenna, looks better than most, poor workmanship and delivered with a poor cable.
