Servicing a bike is like meditation for me; it relaxes me, it melts the stress away. Except for laying new cables. Of course, the beginning part is fine; Prepare housing, lay the ideal cable route, ensure cleanliness and cleanliness. But then you get to the brakes or the derailleur and you realize that you need three, maybe four hands to get it right. This drives me crazy. This tool is expensive for what it does, but it allows you to set the ideal cable tension and makes the process easy. Just hold the tool straight, the little ratchet will hold the tension for you, and tighten the clamp screw with your other hand. Dead easy. If you have rim brakes, use a zip tie to hold them in place while following the process above. Five stars for the whole day.
