It seems that using these dryer balls reduces the drying time. Unfortunately since I started them a few weeks ago I have found 4 shirts of different weights with holes. I didn't catch the shirts on purpose, so I deductively attributed the holes to protrusions on the dryer balls. I drain all the shirts and then run a cycle with no heat for 3 or 4 minutes at a time, so it's possible with very light loads on the dryer that the balls are making too much contact with the clothes and that can be the cause of the holes . . I will not disparage this product. I just thought potential buyers should be honestly warned that the balls could potentially damage clothing. I ordered wool dryer balls to replace them.
