Review on WIX 51036XP Heavy Duty Lube Filter: The Ultimate Solution for Heavy-Duty Lubrication Needs by Oscar Colangelo

I bought this filter and was a bit skeptical because there was rust on the filter surface on the motor side. Hey, it's Wix Premium, which is why I ended up using it. My conclusion is that this filter was water damaged or flooded and repackaged and retained some of the water in the filter. I changed the oil and filter. Six miles later, my motor oil was as creamy as a vanilla milkshake. The oil coming out of the engine was black. Driven only 6km. Changed again, driven, the oil is normal. It's a beautiful honey color again. Someone owes me a premium wix filter and 5 liters of synthetic oil. I was lucky that my engine didn't fail. I love the WIX filters and will continue to use them but will return immediately if water damage occurs. It was a $31 lesson that nearly cost me an engine.
