Note that they adhere very well to laminate or polyurethane coated stairs. (proven by 7 grandchildren) When a ladder is covered with oil paint it doesn't stick at all. First you need to seal the stairs with polyurethane or something else. Then they will surely bring you lasting beauty and functionality.
