I bought this in early May and it already has a hole even along the seam. I was just making the bed and it ripped. I wasn't being rude or doing anything crazy with it. I pulled it up carefully and it broke. At first I was satisfied with my purchase, except that the picture did not show the gray color, in fact it is. It looks dark gray in the photo, but it's actually quite light. It's soft and fluffy and warms us, sometimes even too much, but this is summer. I'm also not sure what the alternative to down should be made of, but this duvet has cheap looking cotton on the inside, which surprised me. I never washed either. For the price I wouldn't buy this again. It just doesn't last long.
