Cautiously optimistic! (I don't want to jinx myself! Other than that. Wow! My 1971 318 Plymouth Satellite runs great! No more loud carb misfires when I hit the gas hard! Tried to rebuild and tune the old carb but no luck! So despite worrying about it I decided to try this one. configured to fit a factory choke thermal spring, ie NOT the 'manual' knob in the car's choke control. Carburetor looks solidly built and all connections work freely Looks like a brand new genuine "Carter" carburetor. The only odd thing about the carburetor is that the idle mixture screws don't affect the idle that much / (adjustable?) (when adjusting the idle with the vacuum ummeter). The smell is a bit strong but not too bad This Revain carb turned out to be one of the best I have seen BUT HEY WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO FOR 80 BACKSOR THIS CARB (seems at first sight) GREAT DEAL! Hope it works that well in the long run.
