Very disappointed! I've just received the Christmas tree lights, it took half an hour to put them on the very large window in my living room and when they were ready to put the batteries in the cheap plastic case cover wouldn't open. I read in the Q&A that people had trouble opening it. I tried to slide the cover as shown and it just broke in my hands. Well it didn't seem like a big deal as the batteries could hold up without the cover and all I could do was tape them in place. But the second disappointment: I turned on the switch and nothing! No light. I tried new batteries so I know they're just bad. While the branch appears nice and solid, the PCB battery case is cheap and flimsy. i give it back UPDATE: I will add a few stars to my previous one star review because the BSC shop has great customer service. They contacted me immediately and told me not to ship the defective item even though I received a refund. Then they sent me a new string a few days later. This one works, the tree lights are fine as expected but unfortunately again there was a small defect in one of the springs holding the 3 batteries. Broken and shortened, the battery barely lasts. Hopefully it stays that way for the next holidays. Again, the battery case should be of better quality, but the BSC store is a great store. UPDATE DEC 2019. It worked last year but now it's dead. I just took it out of the box and the battery on the faulty string blew up. I changed 3 batteries and nothing. waste product. I complained in 2017 after I received a defective one and they replaced it with another defective one. End of the story. Don't buy if it's still on sale.
