Knives that far exceeded my expectations

With a brand I had never heard of, I tried to keep my expectations in check no matter how attractive these knives looked in their description. In truth, they have exceeded all my expectations; They have become everyday knives for both me and my wife and I will give you a few reasons why: 1. Super weight/balance. The blades are neither too thick nor too thin; They are well balanced in the hand and very convenient to use.2. Extremely sharp and easy to care for. Some knives that I had lose their sharpness easily despite a good initial sharpening and have to be subjected to the tedious grinding process with a whetstone relatively often. They arrived very sharp and I was able to bring the blades back to razor sharpness with just a few strokes on the sharpening steel. I can get wafer-thin tomato slices without having a bad crush.3. Attractive. The Damascus steel blades are amazing and the Pakka wood handles have a beautiful texture and finish. Dimensions. The sizes are big. The chef's knife is versatile and can be used for most everyday tasks. My wife is afraid of its size so I use it mostly. She loves little ones to cut and peel fruits and vegetables, especially the paring knife. While these three knives aren't necessarily the only knives you'll need, if you're an experienced and versatile home cook, they'll cover most of your needs. a decent chef's knife from one of the well-known Japanese or German brands. It's a little risky for an unknown brand to spend that amount, but I can safely say that they far exceeded my expectations. These are by far the most used knives I've had in about a month so I highly recommend them and say the price is fair.
