They worked very well initially. Unfortunately the mat now does not stick to the underside of the mat. The pads fit the floor perfectly but not the carpet - the carpet I use is similar to Nuloom or Safavieh. I could try gluing the pads to the carpet. Edit: Change to 1 star. After using them under the carpet in my living room on a hardwood (vinyl) floor for a month and a half, they no longer prevent the carpet from slipping. The sticky side that sticks to the carpet doesn't stick for a long time, but the side that sticks to the floor doesn't budge. Constantly the rug has to be pushed back to sit on the handles and the adhesive side feels sorry for the rugs not staying in place. I don't know which backing of the carpet the glue is supposed to stick to. If the carpet is completely smooth on the underside, like an unstructured plastic or maybe foam, this might work.
