Pros: Perfect size, durable, trendy and professional. Cons: No shoulder strap, padded laptop sleeve not big enough. ): I live in Southern California where it never rains. I bought this bag knowing full well the other reviews and answering questions that it wasn't waterproof. I could stick a scotch guard on it. But I didn't. And then we had a storm. I'm from Seattle grinning at Californians dodging raindrops, but I assure you this was next level biblical material. I packed my stuff in this bag: a laptop (in a neoprene sleeve), a charger, two library books and a passport. I put on my raincoat and rubber boots and headed out into the storm. I had to walk half a mile to the school where I work. From the front door of my apartment to the parking lot, my pants were already soaked. The streets were about three inches flooded, slightly covering my feet. I was confident that my wellies would keep my feet dry. A block later my wellies were full of water; My pants were so wet they dripped into my boots. A block later my socks are squeezing and I can feel the water seeping from my pants into my ass. In the fourth quarter, even my underwear was soaked, even though it was covered with a raincoat. And my S-Zone canvas bag hit my butt. I've lost all hope. I had images in my head of library penalties for water contaminated books and I was afraid my passport would be ruined and I would have to pay for a replacement and I realized my charger had burned out but hopefully the neoprene on my laptop will survive. save it I didn't even think they could be okay; I thought, like me, everything was soaked to the skin. I got into my classroom and opened my bag to store the contents. She was DRY. Everything is TOTALLY PERFECT. My passport was intact, my library books were intact, the charger didn't have a drop and the laptop bag was cold but not damp at all. The outside of the bag is wet. But inside everything is preserved. For that reason I give this bag 10/10. Once it's dry I'll give it some good tape to make sure it can do it again.
